Growing up in southeastern Colorado, Tenneile always had an interest & love for animals. But when she met her partner, Phil in 1995, that passion turned to bucking bulls.  Phil was an amateur bull rider who was good at remembering bulls & their trips.  During his riding career, he was hurt more than he was healthy. As a result, he spent his time helping the local contractors. After all that time hanging flanks, pulling gates, and feeding stock, he decided he would be a contractor.
In 1998, Phil formed a  partnership and began contracting under the name S&P Bulls.
Catfish was in the first group of bulls purchased.  Over the next seven years, Phil and Tenneile learned the ins and outs of the bull business.  Hauling bulls to practice pens, bull riding schools, high school rodeos, open bull ridings , amateur rodeos, and a few PRCA and PBR events.
Tenneile saw that the bucking bull industry was headed more toward breeding and futurity/classic-type events, and became an ABBI member in January of 2004.  She purchased her first heifers, Paris & Nicole at the Denver Stock Show's RSR sale.  Since then, more cows have been added to the herd, along with some young bulls.  In early 2005, Phil left S&P Bulls to devote more time and effort to  helping Tenneile build a successful breeding program.
They are excited about their new endeavor and look forward to competing at the futurities and classics.  And in case you are wondering, no, they aren't married yet.  They would rather spend their money on livestock instead of a wedding!
Phil & Tenneile would like to thank the following people who have helped them along the way:
Monty, Kelly, & Kooper Branum, Randy & Barbara Thomason, Dr. Wade Shoemaker and the staff at Countryside Vet,  Mark Brekler, Aaron & Jessicca McKeown, Jen Shippy, & Dr. Kristy Campbell.
